Blogging… Let’s Get Into It
Why even a blog?
I’ve noticed myself struggling to hold thoughts that ultimately, I do not want ruminating in my mind. I felt like blogging may be a good middle ground to get my ideas out there and spread some annoyances and enjoyment I have from this world. I have a therapist for those personal thoughts but for some more overarching society thoughts. I thought they should go here.
There is a lot
As I am writing this, I wanted to just share some emotional topics that I tend to get worked up about. And specifically Youtube creators or people I have found that share these views more eloquently than I do.
In no particular order or granularity:
- The right to repair, replace, modify and enjoy
- The rejection of convenience for the sake of self improvement and to remove the ability to be taken advantage of
Two great videos on the concept of creation after the influx of AI
- RSS Feeds?? What an iconic tool that should have been social media
- The insanity that is Linkedin
- Longform content and the comfort of listening to someone calmly enjoy living such as Gab Smolders
I have been loving her playthrough of Ocarina of Time. Centers me nicely in the morning or evening
- Community and providing for those that share space
- Coops?? Like how cool [News channel sharing their exploration]
- The commodification of positive change and hobbies, the dumbphone, composting, gardening, blogging
- Video games, such a beautiful medium of creation
Really cool video on the emphasis of Splatoon music in its story
I’ll probably add more to this list as time goes on but I just wanted to reflect on what again has been sloshing around in my skull for the past while. All these items are issues or compliments I have to what is going on around me. I love that I get to have the time and energy to be able to explore these in more depth and I hope to do that here. I may end up creating some video content on the matter but who knows.
Thanks so much for being here! I am working on socials, specifically an RSS feed (for sure), bluesky or mastodon, which I need to do more research on.
